What data enters the extension?
The extension processes phone numbers that you paste, generate, or import, plus task progress and result states.
- Phone-number list supplied by the user
- Task progress and registered/not-found results
- Extension preferences required to run the workflow
- Files exported by the user to their own device
Where is task data stored?
The current privacy policy states that list and task data are stored on the user's device with Chrome local storage.
Optional browser or related-service features may have their own permissions. Review the current extension permission prompt and Privacy Policy before installation.
How long is data retained?
Local task data remains until the browser storage is cleared, stored items are deleted, or the extension is uninstalled.
Exported files remain on the device until the user deletes them. WAChecker cannot delete a file after it has been exported to a user-controlled location.
What are the security limits?
Local processing reduces the need to submit a list to a public cloud checker, but no browser extension or device is completely secure.
- Protect the Chrome profile and operating-system account
- Review extension permissions after updates
- Use only lists you are authorized to process
- Stop a task if WhatsApp Web reports a warning or restriction
